Holidays in Croatia – A Brief Guide

This is the story about my travels and my travelling experiences…

In this set of articles, I will describe one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, Croatia. I will try to mention everything I remember from my travel packages there. I will write about the country, people, food, accommodation and many other interesting topics that are connected to holidays in Croatia.

A Beautiful Honeymoon in Croatia – Romantic Travel and More!

Croatia, a beautiful country with a well-developed tourism industry. Every year millions of tourists come to visit and make their travel romantic in Croatia’s beautiful islands and costal renaissance towns. Croatia was awarded by many travel journals as a best destination in the world. It was awarded as best destination of the year 2006 by National Geographic Adventure Magazine and by Lonely Planet for the year 2005.

Seven locations of Croatia have been recognized by UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. The famous locations which must travel ride and make trips of honeymoons in Croatia are, Little Saplunara in Mljet Island, Hvar Town, Korcula Town, Rovnij, Plitvice Lakes National Park, Diocletian’s Palace in Split and many others.

Program a week long beautiful honeymoon in Croatia’s heavenly beaches, artistic hotels, soothing nature and ancient towns. You can start your journey from Split’s historical complex the palace of Diocletian; which built in 4th century AD by Roman Emperor Diocletian. You can visit some of the famous museums and galleries in Split or can move to Marjan hills to watch the complete scenery of Split.

On next day you can move towards Hvar town of Split. It is best to stay there for at least two nights to watch fully the serene of Hvar. The largest city and fourth most populated city of Croatia, Hvar is a marvelous city with various hotels, restaurants, museums, cafes, and beaches.

Visit to the Pakleni Islands situated on southwest coast to Hvar; where you can enjoy your whole day with yachting, boating, fishing, and swimming. There are total 16 islands in Pakleni to make a romantic travel and drive on boats.

After a complete two day & night staying at Hvar you can move towards Korcula town; which situates in Dubrovnik-Neretva County of Croatia in the Adriatic Sea. There you can see some sightseeing places such as small & large Governor’s Tower with southern land gate, St. Mar’s Cathedral and town museum.

While staying in night, you must not miss the famous sword dance Moreska. Watch the complete serene of Korcula and the beaches without missing; as it is the most romantic site of Croatia. This part of Dalmatia will make your heart full of emotions and will make you plan many more holidays in Croatia.

The last three days of your honeymoon trip to Croatia should be finish at Dubrovnik. The city is covered with a two kilometer long wall. The night seen of Dubrovnik old city is beautiful and must watch; which is recognized by UNESCO World Heritage Site. While touring the old town, travel to the Pile Gate, Clock Tower, Franciscan Monastery, St. Savior Church, Sponza Palace, Rector’s Palace, famous landmark statue of Dubrovnik in the Gundulic Square, etc.

While staying in Dubrovnik you can visit to famous Islands Mljet and Elaphiti in Dubrovnik. Take a tour on cable car to Mount Srd to view the whole city and the beautiful serene surrounded by it. You can get back from Dubrovnik via international or domestic flights as per your prepared destinations. Have a romantic travel and a beautiful honeymoon in Croatia.

A Holiday to Remember – Croatia

Croatia, an assortment of thousand islands that attracts millions of tourists from the Europe and other sides of world every year to spent time with tranquil beaches and historic cities. Holidays in Croatia are extremely memorable for every tourist.

The major cities of Croatia are Zagreb, Dubrovnik, and Split; which are covered with many sights and tourist places. The tourism of Croatia mainly attracts due to the islands that have tiny green lushest covered with tranquil water coastlines.

There are eight national parks, eleven natural parks, and six UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Croatia.

The famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Croatia are old city of Dubrovnik, historic city of Trogir, the Stari Grad Plain in Hvar Island, Diocletian Palace in Split, Euphrasius Basilica in Porec, and St. James Cathedral in Sibenik.

A holiday to remember in Croatia should be during summer; as the climate was dry with Mediterranean climate. The best time to travel to Croatia is in between June to August and late September and October; winter tour is not indicative due to puzzling rain falls. The Europeans and foreigners like to travel Croatian islands and cities during summer.

If you want to make your holiday remembrance, make a complete schedule or trip plan for Croatia during summers. Air, train, ferries and bus facilities are available from major European countries to Croatia.

A walk through the history

Find yourself totally lost in the mazes of cobblestones and alleyways that are flanked by colossus Roman columns, see the many Museums and Theatres in the Palace and do spend entire day shrouding in this ancient Roman history.

Seafood platters for two persons include each a 2 whole fish, at the same time calamari, mussels, prawns as well as some of local varieties. Trying a seafood splurging right here would cost cheaper than 50 Euros and we really regard it as one of prime eats in town.
