Diet Pills: Dangers Of Diet Pills, The Truth About Diet Pills and Why Even Prescription Diet Pills

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could just pop a pill and the universe would obey!

I asked my guitar teacher about Performer-Recommended Virtuoso-Guitar Lozenges and Patches.  He assured me they work fine as long as you supplement the pills with 2 to 3 hours a day of actual practice and stick with it for five to seven years.


The Diet Pill Approach to Weight Loss

Diet pills, including metabolism boosting pills, fat absorbing pills, and carbohydrate blocking pills are exactly like the Virtuoso-Guitar Pills, they work GREAT as long as you supplement the pills with a healthy diet, good nutrition and regular exercise, that is assuming they don’t seriously damage your health along the way.

There’s no such thing as a free lunch and the magic weight loss fairy is not going to fly by, tap you on the bottom or the belly and make the bad fat go away.

Every year billions are spent on quick fix, miracle weight loss pills, potions, powders, cookies, bars, patches and magic elixirs and every year billions are wasted.

People drawn to the quick fix, like moths to a flame, take the product, and if they lose any weight, quickly gain it all back plus more and then start searching once again for the next and newest weight lost miracle.

No one has ever gained weight because of a shortage of diet pills in their diet and no one will ever lose weight and keep it off by taking these irresponsible, scientifically ridiculous products.

  • Metabolism boosting pills, (natural or not), stress your central nervous system and increase your risk of heart attack and stroke.
  • Fat absorbing pills are proven 100% useless and shown to damage the intestines in double-blind research studies.
  • Carbohydrate blocking pills make about as much sense as swallowing antidote so you can ‘safely’ swig down poison.


Wholesale Fraud And Deceit Is Common In The Quick-Fix Weight Loss Industry

From December 2008 to March 22, 2009 the FDA has identified and banned 72 weight loss dietary supplements tainted with “undeclared active pharmaceutical agents”, in other words prescription drugs.  Not only are the prescription drugs undeclared and illegally added to over-the-counter diet pills, the undeclared drugs are often added in FAR GREATER amounts than FDA approves as safe in the actual prescription medication. And they still don’t work.

These products do NOT produce lasting weight loss.  In fact, study after study prove the vast majority of all people taking these products do not lose any weight at all!  Of course that fun fact is never printed on the label, even though the studies are published in dozens of medical journals, some of which you can access for free online.

Every year the FDA files fraud charges against companies selling miracle-in-a-bottle, quick fix weight loss junk that promise everything and deliver nothing EXCEPT increased health risk.

Two weight loss supplement manufacturers, each doing over $50 million a year in sales, were recently shut down by the FDA.  As it turned out, both companies had completely fabricated weight loss testimonies; they used fake medical endorsements, touched up photos, and they paid radio show hosts to lie about losing weight using their products.  The scandal was so big it prompted the FCC to pass new regulations governing radio advertising.

One company sold a product that was LITERALLY made by dissolving gristle off chicken feet purchased from a slaughter house, in acid, bottling it, slapping a label on the bottle and marketing it as a miracle weight loss collagen protein drink guaranteed to speed up your metabolism and cause excess fat to melt off while your sleep!

At best, quick fix weight loss products are a complete, absolute, total waste of money.  At worst, they may seriously damage your health.


What About Prescription Diet Pills

You’re not overweight because you diet is deficient in prescription diet pills and you will never lose weight, keep it off and be healthy taking them.

Prescription weight loss drugs are expensive, dangerous and fail to produce lasting results.

Medical doctors who make their living prescribing drugs for weight loss are often considered charlatans by their peers because of overwhelming evidence that the “pill approach” to weight loss simply does not work.

Over 40 years of research, tracking thousands of people using prescription diet drugs for weight loss, documents that 9 out of 10 people who lose weight (not all do) GAIN IT ALL BACK PLUS MORE within a year or less after stopping the drugs.

Drug therapy ignores the underlying cause of weight gain.  Drugs promote weight loss by artificial means and ignore the real cause of being overweight.

The Phen-Fen drugs have been used in Europe for over 60 years.  Dozens of long-term studies tracking results for tens of thousands of patients show the overwhelming majority (over 90%) regains every pound plus more within 12 to 24 months after quitting the drug.

Bottom Line: DIET DRUGS ARE DANGEROUS & DON’T WORK!  Given the 90% plus failure rate, its obvious prescription drugs fail to produce permanent weight loss.


How To Lose Weight And Keep It Off

To lose weight, reach a healthy-attractive body weight you enjoy and effortless maintain that weight for life you need three things.

  1. Working knowledge of the basics of metabolism, in other words, what happens when you chew food and swallow… what causes you to make and store fat vs. what causes you to burn stored body fat and effortless maintain a normal-healthy weight.
  2. You need a working knowledge of all the obvious AND NOT SO OBVIOUS things that can keep one person struggling with being overweight while another easily loses weight and keeps it off.
  3. You need a diet, nutrition and lifestyle strategy that promotes a normal-healthy body weight, that is easy to follow and that never leaves you feeling hungry or deprived… yes it does exist.

And of course you have to care enough to be willing to ABANDON scientifically and medically absurd approaches to weight loss and focus instead learning what it really takes to reach your goal.
